Editor's review
This is a Outlook plug-in that lets you create a group calendar from individual member calendars.
Workgroup Calendar is a personal tool built as a add in to the MS Outlook. It allows you to create and synchronize a group calendar with content merged from the chosen Microsoft Outlook Calendar folders. These would be the calendars of individual members of the work group. With this combined calendar scheduling becomes simple. There would be no need to juggle between member calendars. The group calendar view is like the Outlook 2007 view in overlay mode. However, this tool does add additional functionality. The interface makes it similar to the Outlook operations so that there are no many new things to learn. You access the group calendar functionality through the Workgroup Calendar button.
The calendar folders are available on a tree structured view on the left of the display area. Anyone in the workgroup can create, modify the calendars and everyone is able to see the changes right away. Appointments, calendar events, and meetings from selected calendar folders can be viewed in one place. This applies to the public calendars you set up of course. Private calendars are not shared. The calendar sync includes sync with devices like the iPhone too. The tool supports Microsoft Outlook versions 2000, 2002, 2003, 2007. While this is a nice application, what you need to determine during trial period is if you have significant advantages over the native Outlook features. So use the trial period to take a close look! There are some limitations in the trial version though.
